Lotus Elise 250 Cup Final Edition – Pure Driving Excitement

His nickname might have been ‘Chunky’ (only ever behind his back, mind…) but there was nothing overweight about Anthony Colin Bruce Chapman’s Lotus racing cars.

Over the years, the genius of Colin Chapman is evident in every one of his cars. Each of his creations were uniquely endowed, not only with clever engineering, but a special blend of design and mechanical innovation that seemed to illude virtually all other manufacturers, or at least be years ahead of them.

When the Lotus Elise was launched, the first thing we all noted was just how light it was. The original Elise weighed 723kg, making it the lightest sports cars on sale at the time (by some margin). The remarkable weight was achieved by using the most advanced aluminium chassis and bonding aluminium parts using epoxy resin and riveting rather than traditional welding. The thickness of metal can be reduced from 3mm to 1.5mm. Lotus used aluminium disc brakes and glass fibre body shell which also help with lightness. The Elise got a mid engine layout, double wishbone suspension all around and extra-high torsional rigidity from that special chassis structure.

The result was quite simply that the Elise was the most involving, the most controllable and the most exciting car to drive. At the time, the motoring press was driving cars like the Ferrari F50 and McLaren F1, and yet they drove the Elise and couldn't stop talking about how it was absolutely perfect, the way a car should drive.

Over the past two decades, the Elise has founds it way into the driveways of driving enthusiasts, trackday racers, and road rally’s all over the world with its unique blend of performance, lightweight and point and shoot precision.
We are pleased to offer this 2021 Lotus Elise 250 Cup Final Edition, the last and most refined version of the legendary Elise. Finished in Motorsport Black Metallic with contrasting Motorsport Alcantara Interior, digital instruments and exclusive badging

As one of the final models before Lotus ended production of the Elise, this limited-edition track-focused machine is an ultra-lightweight, high-performance masterpiece, delivering a raw and exhilarating driving experience.
Weighing just 931kg, the Elise 250 Cup is powered by a 1.8-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine producing 243 horsepower. This power is delivered to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, ensuring a dynamic and responsive driving experience. With a 0-100km/h time of just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 154 mph, the 250 Cup offers unmatched performance in its class.

The Final Edition comes equipped with a host of upgrades, including unique styling elements, premium interior finishes, and enhanced aerodynamics. A fully adjustable suspension, upgraded brakes, and lightweight forged wheels ensure the 250 Cup is ready for both the track and the road, offering exceptional agility and precision in every turn.

With its perfect balance, race-inspired engineering, and driver-focused purity, the Elise 250 Cup Final Edition is the last of its kind, marking the end of an era for one of the most iconic lightweight sports cars ever built.
For those seeking the ultimate in driving purity and rare exclusivity, this is the perfect farewell to an automotive legend.
